Hegarty's Cheddar

The first cheese made on the farm.

It is made out of pasteurized milk and each wheel weighs 20 kg. We use the traditionnal cheddar method to mature our cheese.

We wrap the cheese into a cloth in order to keep the moisture in during its long maturation (1 year minimum). The result is a strong and nutty taste. This award-winning cheese has a distinctive flavour that you will definitely keep for a long time after the first bite.

Templegall

 

Our newest addition to our cheese range. This Swiss style cheese is made from raw milk and is matured for at least 9 months. It is made in 40 kg wheels and has to be brushed 3 times a week (lots of for a special cheese)! The name of this cheese comes from our village Whitechurch which is “An Teampall Geal” in Gaelic.

Its sweet, delicate, and nutty flavour will definitely convince you!

Hegarty’s Smoked Cheddar

 

The same cheese as Hegarty’s Cheddar but smoked with beechwood chips. This naturally smoked cheese will definitely convince the smokey cheese lovers with its strong flavour.
